The duration is approximately six months, from March to September.

Schools can apply to join the programme by clicking on this link. Currently, Money & Me is only present in the Klang Valley region. The Edge Education Foundation is looking for Partners and schools to expand the programme beyond the Klang Valley.

Partners can apply to join the programme by clicking on this link. Partners have to commit to the entire duration of the programme, that is, a minimum of six months during the school year, and help ensure its success.

Money & Me offers companies an opportunity to engage with schools and contribute to the national education system in two critical areas – financial literacy and youth economic opportunity. For companies and their employees who want to carry out corporate responsibility efforts, Money & Me offers a structured programme that will allow them to make a difference in the lives of young people by teaching them life skills in the form of financial literacy and basic entrepreneurship skills. Employees who volunteer get access to Money & Me materials including a comprehensive Facilitators’ Manual, and training to help them facilitate the programme in schools.

The Foundation manages the overall programme and data collection/analysis using instruments it designed for the purpose of impact assessment. It also provides the programme structure, content and materials as well as training for Partners to run the programme. The Foundation is an active participant in lending support to Partners through visits to schools and providing feedback. It also liaises with federal and state education authorities to obtain the necessary approval to run the programme. The Foundation also works on getting schools and Partners into the programme, and matches them. It also organises and runs the Enterprise Boot Camp, with the help of volunteers from its Partners. The Foundation works closely with schools and Partners to ensure the success of the programme.

The Boot Camp is an intensive 3D2N camp to teach participants about setting up a small business, coming up with a business plan and learning how to pitch, designing a marketing campaign, and executing the plan.

Sales Day is the culmination of the Money & Me programme and is held at participating schools. It is when participants get to implement the business plans that they came up with during the Money & Me sessions over the preceding months. During Sales Day, the participants sell their products and services to their schoolmates, teachers and school staff. At some schools, Sales Day may coincide with the schools’ Open Day, Hari Keusahawanan or Hari Koperasi.

All groups taking part in Sales Day get to vie for prizes both for their groups and schools as part of the Money & Me Young Entrepreneurs Challenge.
